The history of E-Z-GO dates back to 1954 when brothers—Beverly and Billy Doolan—took it upon themselves to build a golf cart better than the designs available on the market at that time. Initially, they started operations out of their modest one-room machine shop in Augusta, GA. However, their model soon became popular among golfers across the country. This led them to expand their business, and they started building personal transport and utility vehicles, too.
